The Links Club in New York was founded in 1916 by Charles Blair Macdonald and his golfing friends as a convenient, comfortable and convivial place to meet when business and social commitments kept them off the fairways. Situated in an elegant building in the heart of Manhattan, the Links is one of New York's oldest private clubs. This book combines a lively description of the Links' long history with a striking portfolio of photographs depicting its charming interiors, paintings and furnishings, as well portraits of a representative cross-section of the membership and staff. The book was commissioned by the club.
